Hey guys, I know I'm new here, but here's a tutorial I made up for Dagorhir plate armor.

It's not the best piece I've made, but I wanted to only use stuff that could be easily gotten or substituted.

I plan to add instructions on each picture, but anyone wanting to try making armor can get the idea from the pics.

Click on the "Set" on the right side, it shows the pictures in correct order.

Very nice work I can tell you know what you're doing. I'm not into metal working myself but I like that you used a pourpoint to attach your pauldron. A lot of Dag armor is hung poorly. That's got to be really easy to wear on the field. Some of the guys are working on getting an armoring group together, I'm sure they'd love to here what you have to say about some of the projects they're planning.

Paden,
Are you familiar with the site http://www.instructables.com/ it is basically a ton of online how-to guides with photos. I have never created one, only read the existing ones, but there might be some functionality built into the website that could make your tutorial easier to create, and/or edit. Just an idea.

Yea! For sure, I think helmets are a bit troublesome to get right the first time, it took me a couple tries to get it right. Skullcaps are pretty easy though, which is great beings you guys represent the Templar's, if you guys where Greek hoplites, I would be like, "You guys are on you're own", lol.
The hoplite helmet is made out of ONE round plate of bronze... The whole thing is pounded out by hand, my arm would fall off... ^^ I've seen it done though, takes days...

>>> I once made a helmet for a dachshund, chainmail coif, folding face guard and everything, super silly/cute  <<<

I've also have experience with building siege equipment, 10' siege tower, mangonel/onager, ballista, trebuchet, also a mobile shield thing which I can't remember the name of right now. ^^

Yea, you guys seem to be a pretty cool group, any projects you guys want help with, I'd be glad to lend a hand.
