Hey there everybody, my name's Eric and I've been interested in joining a Dagorhir unit since last year but due to a severe injury I wasn't able to take part in anything last summer. Me and a group of friends were going to start our own group, but once I got injured it kind of faded out to me still being the only one that wants to do it.
A little bit about me, I love all the medieval/fantasy games and movies. I'm a huge fan of LotR and, if no one's played this before they're awesome, The Elder Scrolls video games. I'm pretty easy to get along with, a little shy when meeting new people but once you get to know me I open up completely. Looking to have a little part about me that not many people have, and I feel like this group can do that.
I'm now fully recovered from my injury, it was a broken collarbone had to get surgery for it. My friends and I started making our own weapons, but I was really the only that actually finished mine. I have a sword and a shield, and for the fun of it I made a long knife. However, I don't have them covered. I figured it'd be better if I waited until I was in a unit to do the color choices. And if you guys have tips on how to make them better than me (I youtubed it) it'd be appreciated. I don't have an outfit, seeing as how my bone was messed up I saw no point in working on stuff until I was fully healed. Still never could figure out what material to use for the clothes. As for combat experience, very little. Once a couple of us finished our weapons we would fight in the streets, but none of us have any real skill. Video games can only help you so much.
If you guys are interested in enlisting a new member send me an email with some info on what to do at
etownby77@gmail.com and I'll start working towards getting stuff together soon. I probably won't be able to do any battling until the summer, but maybe between now and early January I could do a practice or two to fully introduce myself. I know that's not a lot of time but it never hurts to practice. I'm hoping to finally be a part of something completely different in my life.
